This group is for any staff member who has an interest in market developments and opportunities for the College in the South East Asia region.

This list has the following description:

South East Asia has been a constant source of international
recruitment for the College over the past 10 years and we now
have over 400 students from the region studying across our three
faculties. The College is actively recruiting students and
developing relationships with institutions in Thailand, Vietnam,
Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei at the moment and hope to enter
the Indonesian and Philippine markets over the next twelve months.

The region is also going through a sustained period of growth as
ten members states http://www.aseansec.org/18619.htm move
towards the ASEAN 2015 http://www.aseansec.org/ agreement for
economic integration. The level of investment in Higher
Education across the region is increasing year-on-year and it is
also the global hub for Transnational Education (TNE).

SE Asia is a competitive market with an increasing Australian
presence, growing high quality HE provision in the region as
well as traditional competition for student recruitment provided
by the US and even European institutions. That said, there are
opportunities for UK universities, such as QM, to increase
recruitment, develop partnerships with leading HEIs in the
region and seek opportunities around TNE.

The SEA Interest Group will share market intelligence, highlight
opportunities for Schools and academics and keep abreast of
Political, Economic and Educational developments in the region.
